Mathematics Club

At the Primary School in Balog nad Ipľom, mathematics has always been taught by qualified teachers who are deeply dedicated to their profession. Thanks to their conscientious efforts, our students perform exceptionally well on secondary school entrance examinations, and mathematics poses no difficulties for them during their high school studies. Our students regularly participate in prestigious competitions announced by the Ministry of Education, including the Pythagoras competition and the Mathematical Olympiad, as well as the correspondence mathematics competitions organized by the Katedra Foundation.

As the number of applicants for these mathematical competitions increased year after year, a dedicated mathematics club was established in the 2005/2006 academic year. The club commenced with fifteen students under the leadership of teachers Ing. Barnabás Molnár and Mgr. Ferenc Hlavács.

In the 2006/2007, 2007/2008, and 2008/2009 academic years, an average of twelve students enrolled in the club, continuing their work under the guidance of Mr. Barnabás Molnár. From the 2009/2010 academic year onward, the club has been led by Mgr. Barnabás Molnár.
